WHAT TO PACK

DRESS CODE:

What we wear makes a statement about who we are and often effects how we act. In Camp Maaminim we want to do everything we can to surround all campers and staff with the most torahdik environment. As such, please be careful when shopping and packing that the logos and messages printed on the T- shirts you purchase and send to camp are appropriate and are befitting a Ben Torah. If you are not sure, it is best to avoid it.

For davening, we require that boys above bar mitzvah wear a hat and jacket, long pants, socks and shoes/sneakers (not slippers).

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

It is crucial and very helpful to the staff, to have names sewn or stickered on to all personal belongings, including glasses, cameras, and luggage. Name stamps and permanent ink should not be used, since they are usually unclear, especially after laundering. While we'll make every effort to return misplaced items, camp is not responsible for any personal belongings. The camp does not assume responsibility for loss, theft, or damage caused to any items. Please do not send clothing/electronics that you would be devastated to lose. Any unclaimed articles left in camp by the end of the summer will be donated or discarded. There are numerous sites such as www.namebubbles.com that sell great name sticker labels you can order.

Important tip - We highly recommend wrapping as much of your son’s bedding and clothing as possible in large plastic garbage bags or the like Important tip - We highly recommend wrapping as much of your son’s bedding and clothing as possible in large plastic garbage bags or the like prior to placing it in his duffle, in case there is inclement weather on the day that the luggage leaves to camp.
